The Objective
Create.
What it needed wasn’t a new identity, it was imagery that carried the same weight as the product, because a hat that means something photographed like generic merch stops meaning something.
We handle the photo and video. Campaign work for drops, lifestyle imagery that puts the hats on real people in real places, and the ongoing social content that keeps the brand present between releases.
Most of what a hat brand sells online is a photograph. The customer can’t hold it, can’t try it on, and can’t feel the weight of the story behind it. The image has to do all of that.
Paid Homage sells both online and at pop-ups, which means the imagery works twice. It has to sell a hat to someone who has never seen the brand, and it has to look right to the people who already know exactly what it’s referencing. Those two audiences forgive very different things.
